What was the relationship between Paul and Abraham?

Paul was an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham. In his letters he presents Abraham as the father of all who believe, because Abraham believed God. Romans 11:1; Romans 4:3, 11; Galatians 3:6-7

What the Bible says

Romans 4:18

Who against hope believed in hope; that he might be made the father of many nations, according to that which was said to him: So shall thy seed be.

Romans 11:1

I say then: Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
