About God's Map
God's Map is a living map of the people, places and events of the Bible and of the history of the Church. Tap a person (Jesus, the Virgin Mary, Peter…) and see who they were, who they were connected to, when and where, with the Bible verse that backs it up.
What we want
That someone who knows very little about the Bible can understand how its people and stories connect, from the time of Abraham until today. For young people, adults and seniors, in plain words.
It does not replace the Bible: it leads you to it. Every sentence says where it is written, so you can open your Bible and read it yourself.
From the Catholic faith
We tell the story of the Bible as the Catholic Church reads it: with its 73 books, with the Catechism and with Tradition, always labeled as such. God's Map is not an official publication of the Church and does not speak in its name. We treat Jesus, the Virgin Mary and the saints with the respect of a Catholic for the faith, in words and in images.
How we work
- Our sources and how we check every reference are in How we verify.
- We use artificial intelligence to help us write and to make the images; a person reviews what is published. The images are artistic recreations.
- There is also a Spanish edition: Mapa de Dios.
Who is behind it
God's Map is a project of José Zamudio.
