What was the relationship between Cleopas and Mary, wife of Clopas?
John calls one of the women at the cross “Mary the wife of Clopas.” Some think she was the wife of the Cleopas of Emmaus. Luke 24:18; John 19:25
What the Bible says
Luke 24:18
And the one of them, whose name was Cleophas, answering, said to him: Art thou only a stranger to Jerusalem, and hast not known the things that have been done there in these days?
John 19:25
Now there stood by the cross of Jesus, his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalen.

What Tradition teaches
The Bible does not connect them. In Greek, the names are spelled differently (Cleopas and Clopas). The Catholic Encyclopedia says it could be the same name, but this is not certain (Catholic Encyclopedia (1913), “Cleophas”).
