Inn
A place in the Bible

A place where travelers stayed.
What happened here
- In Luke 2:7: the Greek word is the same as in Luke 22:11, where it means the guest room of a house. So it can be an inn or that room.
- Today: “inn” is also a name for a small, old-style hotel or restaurant.
Today
It is like a simple guesthouse.
Where it appears in the Bible
Luke 2:7; Luke 22:11
What the Bible says
Luke 2:7
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him up in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luke 22:11
And you shall say to the goodman of the house: The master saith to thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I may eat the pasch with my disciples?
