Who was Luke?
- He was a physician. Paul calls him “the beloved physician.” Colossians 4:14
- He worked with Paul and was with him when Paul was in prison. Philemon 1:24; 2 Timothy 4:11
- According to Tradition, he wrote the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. Saint Irenaeus, Against Heresies III, 1, 1; Luke 1:3; Acts 1:1
